How does the face match work?

You upload two photos and get a playful shared-vibe match percentage plus five traits you supposedly share, drawn from a wider set. The same two photos always give the same result.

Is it accurate?

Not at all — it's purely for fun and does no real facial recognition. It says nothing real about anyone.

Are my photos private?

Completely. Your photos are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded, stored, or sent anywhere. Free, no signup.

What happens to my photos, technically?

When you pick a photo, your browser reads it locally using the standard FileReader API — the file never leaves your device. A face-detection library (loaded from a public CDN) runs entirely on your machine to locate a face in each image, and the playful "shared traits" and iconic-duo card are then generated by a fixed formula. Close the tab and everything is gone; there is no upload, no server, and no history.

Why does the same photo pair always match the same way?

The result is deterministic by design. That means two friends running the same photos get the same answer, which makes it more fun to compare — and it is also your proof that nothing "intelligent" is happening. A real compatibility engine would be probabilistic; this is a party trick with mathematics.

Good photos to try

Clear, front-facing photos with one visible face work best for detection. Try it with a friend, a family member, or two photos of yourself a decade apart. If a face is not detected, try better lighting or a closer crop — the detector runs locally, so retries cost nothing and reveal nothing.
